Orelha "Ear" (Orelha means Ear in Portuguese), was a beloved 10 year old senior community dog that was very friendly to everyone. He loved the locals as well as the tourists. He lived by the beach Praia Brava in Brazil and the locals took care of him along with the other community dogs. Unfortunately, on January 4th, a group of teenagers tricked him in thinking that they wanted to play with him, Orelha went with them and instead the teenagers began brutally torturing and then murdering him while live streaming it.
Orelha's case was close to being dismissed without indicting anyone but then things took a turn when evidence, that the local authorities handling Orelha's case denied having, began to surface on social media and to the public. The case is now currently ongoing and everyone who has been touched by Orelha's story, is coming together demanding justice for Orelha. Orelha's story is now being shared in different parts of the world and we will continue to share his story until we see justice for Orelha and all the innocent animals and anyone who ever has been abused.
Orelha has become a symbol of unity, as his story continues to bring many different people, with different beliefs, views etc, to come together demanding justice for Orelha and all animals who experienced animal cruelty.
